That means “downward facing dog” in sanskrit (Thanks Amy). I think LJ has been watching my yoga DVDs. Look at that form! This weekend she found her footing while she was crawling and now she likes to get her feet flat on the ground rather than use her knees.
Its been so much fun watching LJ learn how to move on her own. She isn’t afraid to let one hand drop off the ottoman while she’s standing up, or to cruise between the couch and the ottoman which are differing heights. She makes a high-pitched squealing noise and bounces her knees out of sheer joy to be upright. I think March will bring some standing and balancing for LJ, and I don’t want to miss a single step!
